South Lake Tahoe

South Lake Tahoe is a city in El Dorado County in the US Federal State California, the USA, with 24.000 inhabitants (conditions: 2004) and are because of the Lake Tahoe. The geographical coordinates are: 38,94° north, 119,98° west. The city has a size of 42,7 km ².

South Lake Tahoe is the center of the tourism at the Lake Tahoe. At the local edge are some sand beaches. At the east end of the city is the border between California and Nevada. On the side of Nevada the place is called Stateline and consists of several large hotels with Spielcasinos.
