Sully sur Loire
Sully sur Loire is a city in the French Département Loiret with well 6,000 inhabitants (1999).
It is because of both banks of the Loire, whose bed is here particularly broad and flat. Therefore a ford here already existed, since that 10 in the early Middle Ages. Century a bridge as transition over the river. The bridge was destroyed several times in the following centuries and established afterwards again.
Admits is Sully sur Loire particularly by its lock. The place serves frequently as starting point for routes for the locks of the Loire.
