Tórshavn [ˈtɔu̯ʂhau̯n] (on färöisch often briefly: Havn; Danish: Thorshavn, dt: Thorshaven) is the capital of the Färöer, and is located at the east coast Streymoys.
It is the political, economical and mental metropolis of the country and offers far more infrastructure, than one would expect in a comparably large Central European town.
