Technology history
technology history is a subsection of the sciences of history and is concerned with the historical development from methods to the practical application of different natural sciences and technologies. The subject of the investigations are then individual development strands of the technology like for example the steam engine, their influence on the industrialization as well as the description of the Biografie of the personalities, that are to be called its Miterfinder and successful marked out James Watt with it - in this concrete case.
Further it examines the reciprocal effect between technical progress as technology assessment and the history of social processes. Technology history (often also “history of the natural science and technology”) gives it as chair at many larger universities.
