Tespe
the municipality Tespe covers a surface of 24,87 km ² and has 3,996 inhabitants (conditions 31. December 2005). It is appropriate in the northeast district of the Harburg and belongs to the integrated municipality Elbmarsch. Mayor of the municipality is Peter Zeyn, Karl-Heinz Kornberger its deputy.

Tespe consists of the villages Tespe, Bütlingen and Avendorf. It resulted in its current form from the area and administrative reform of the 1. July 1972. Before it Tespe as well as the municipalities Avendorf and Bütlingen ranked among the district Lueneburg.

to beginning of the last century was Tespe a purely agriculturally oriented march hoof village. The land development extended in Tespe and Avendorf exclusive along the Elbdeiches.
