history
the original devil valley bridge, between 1936 and 1938 of the architect Paul Bonatz (*6. December 1877; †20. December 1956) delighted, was at that time one of the largest elbow bridges of Europe and was considered as engineering master achievement.
60 years later (1996 to 1998) a second bridge (south side) became parallel to it in the course of the 6-streifigen of development of the motorway A 4established. This happened in nearly the same building method as in the thirties, with a wooden falsework. When it turned out that the old devil valley bridge was no longer reorganizationable, it became, although under monument protection standing, 1999 torn off and until 2002 by a second bridge (north side)replaced.
