Thérèse Meyer
Thérèse Meyer (* 17. May 1948 in Châtel Saint Denis) is Swiss a politician (CVP), Nationalrätin and national council president for the year 2005.
The learned Laborantin with domicile in Estavayer le Lac began her political career 1980 as a member of the city council. From 1991 to 1999 she was city president (syndic) of Estavayer le Lac and sat from 1996 to 1999 in the canton parliament of Freiburg, before she was then selected into the national council.
After national council president Jean Philippe Maitre because of a brain tumor its office as a chairman of the national council at the 1. March 2005 laid down, became Thérèse Meyer to 8. March 2005 to its successor selected.
