Therapist

a therapist is a user of therapeutic procedures (Greek θεραπευτής - therapeftís = the Behandler), sees therapy.

In Germany the designation is a “therapist” alone, or supplemental with certain terms, legally not protected and is therefore no guarantor for technical authority or for a technically founded study. In contrast to it stand for instance the occupations physician, welfare practical man, Psychotherapeut, Ergotherapeut, Physiotherapeut, whose study with a national examination locks and whose designation is legally protected.
