history

the municipalities of the Trusetales 1185 were mentioned for the first time documentary. Since that 14. Century iron goods were manufactured. Since that 16. Century was promoted also iron ore. The mining industry was stopped 1991.

The municipality Trusetal developed at the 1. July 1950 by unionthe local parts Herges Vogtei, Auwallenburg, Trusen, Elmenthal and Laudenbach. The local part Wahles became 1994 in in common December. Name giver is a small river, the Truse.

the landmark of the place is the Trusetaler Wasserfall. This artificial, 58 m high Wasserfall 1865 under line of the building advice woodpecker were put on.

The boiling citizen tower from that 13. Century, a leftover in the dreissigjährigen war nearlycompletely destroyed boiling castle, offers a panorama view over the Werratal up to the front Rhön.
