Vernier is a municipality in the canton Geneva. It is also over 30 ' 000 inhabitants the second largest city of the canton. Vernier is north the Rhône.
The neighbour municipalities are Satigny, Meyrin, Grand Saconnex as well as Geneva.
Until 1815 Vernier belonged to France.
