Mansion Kuntabunt Innsbruck
„the mansion Kuntabunt “, (originally „mansion Steyrer “) or VKB was from the year 2003 to 3. October 2005 from young people Austria occupied mansion in Hötting completely, northwest-convenient quarters of Innsbruck. Lately the city government threatened with the evacuation of the house and the police made again and again always frequent house attendance. The inhabitants began a signature action for the mansion in June 2005 to their preservation as free space for socially disadvantaged, shelter lots, etc. The inhabitants of the mansion Kuntabunt do not call themselves as Punks, but strive only as free young people for free spaces. This they wanted to explain also to the neighbours itself again and again in the summer e.g. because of strong Fäkalgeruch or the garbage mountains in the garden weighted. In March/April the inhabitants in the city Flyer distributed 2005 to help in order to energize the people, them with the removal of the garbage - which already different people deposited decades before it in the beautiful mansion -. In vain, because on the planned day nobody came, although even for feed and drink was ensured. Recently (August 2005) the mansion became point of meeting of two concerts of the German Punkbands “shit all the same” and “golden the Girls”. In April one video evening in the mansion took place, at which the situation should be made clear to the people. To 6. September 2005 was held the mansion the last concert. At that time one did not suspect that well one month later the inhabitants on the road would stand.

the old child psychiatry in Höttting (Oppolzerstrasse, near the botanischen garden) stands since 1870. Also in the Nazi period it was operated as such and was apparent one that Psychiatrien, in which euthanasia at children was accomplished at that time. After the war it was still another time long in the possession and enterprise of the city, 1969/70 moved the child psychiatry and general special school sunning route for short time into the mansion Steyrer, was then closed and sold. The last owner was a Ötztaler named Kapferer, which deceased some years ago and which mansion left to nine people. Mr. Kapferer plans to recondition now the mansion.
