World

Those World (griech. Cosmos, latin. mundus) a historically conditioned term is covered and in the broadest definition of everything us acquaintance. In contrast to the comparatively accurately definable term that (griech. Geos), the world thereby covers those Whole its that is perceptible. This Perception are however purely subjectively certain, what depending upon the individual realization extent and particularly the culture area determining thereby to different opinions led which covers the world. "world" is originally pure thereby singulares Word, that only since end of the languagespreading also in Plural (worlds) one uses.

Under the term of the world in its different developments, in particular usually that fell well-known in each case part of the earth, the Gestirne, that before the astronomical and geographical discoveries of the modern times and also that causes Gods. After today's viewpoint the term would be therefore regarding the scientific realization horizon congruently with us admitted and all of its components. He is understood however usually rather as a synonym of the earth, in particular if of "the world" or "our world" one speaks. This becomes clear for example at the term that Map of the world, thus of a map that formerly admitted world, which is today simply a synonym for a map of the entire earth's surface.

The problem of this transition of a historically justified world term to a rather modern term understanding, as indistinct this may also be, shows up exemplarily on the basis more different Creation myths and concomitantly in history and change that and .
