history

Since 1941 annually the New Year concert takes place , which is dedicated predominantly to the works of the bunch dynasty.

the Viennese Philharmonics are as private association organized. They sit down from members of the orchestra of the VienneseState opera together. The statutes of the association mean that a musician must have played at least three years in the state opera orchestra, before he can request the admission into the association. Since 1997 can become also Mrs. Mitglieder of the Philharmonics.
