winter-resound AG in Kassel is one the oldest German mineral oil - and natural gas - enterprises. The drilling company winter-resound in the year 1894 by the Industriellen Heinrich Grimberg and the drilling entrepreneur Carl Julius winters one based.
The name winter-resound sits down from the surname of the founder and the celtic word for salt (resound) together.
First the enterprise was busy with the promotion of potash salt. The coincidental outbreak of oil in one of the potash pits proved soon as trend-setting perspective for winter-resounds. Thus the oil promotion was added as the further field of work in the year 1930. By using motorizing oil was an in demand product, so that winter-resound yourself from now on on the development of Erdölquellen concentrated. Since the 1990er years has winter-resound AG in the natural gas sector strongly expanded. Thus one met z. B. in the autumn 1990 with the Russian OAO Gazprom a long-term agreement over the marketing of Russian natural gas in Germany.
1993 those VIENNA GAS GmbH based as joint undertakings of winter-resound (65%) and the OAO Gazprom (35%, since 2006 50% minus 1 share). Additionally in March 1999 of winter-resound and Gazprom decided to promote in the future oil and gas together both to Russia and in other countries.
Those winter-resound AG is a 100%ige subsidiary of the BASF in Ludwigshafen.
