Wojciech Has
Wojciech Jerzy Has (* 1. April 1925 in Krakau, Poland † 3. October 2000 in Łódź, Poland) was a Polish film director.
Wojciech Has began to study film and painting after the Second World War in Krakau. First it specialized in dokumentar and instructional films. Only 1958 it turned its first feature. It created films, which rank today among classical authors of the Polish cinema and which Łódź until today coin/shape style of the film university. Among its most famous films to January Potocki rank the handwriting from Saragossa from the year 1965 with Zbigniew Cybulski and the sanatorium to the death notice from the year 1973 after Bruno Schulz, as well as the doll from the year 1969 after Boleslaw Prus.
Has coined/shaped the Polish film scene above all also by its educational abilities and influencing control on young directors, who locked the film university Łódź.
