the French Département Yonne [ˈjɔn] is that 89.Département in alphabetical order. It became in the French revolution to 4. March 1790 from a part of the old province Burgund production in use of the law of 22. December 1789. It covers the northwest part of Burgund (Avallonais and Auxerrois), the southwest part that Champagne (Séonais) and a piece of the southeast part of Orléanais (Puisaye and Gâtinais). It borders in the northwest on the Département Seine et Marne, in the northeast on Aube, in the east on Côte D' Or, in the south on Nièvre and in the west on Loiret.
