Zvonimir Soldo
Zvonimir Soldo (* 2. November 1967) is a Croatian football player.

career
Soldo began as a young person with the quarter club numerical control Zagreb with the soccer game. it changed 1988 to the Croatian Erstligaklub Dinamo Zagreb, with which it could not succeed however. After two years it left Dinamo and came over the stations numerical controls Zadar and inter Zaprešić 1994 again to Dinamo Zagreb, which meant now Croatia Zagreb, where this time however the break-through succeeded to him. In its time with Croatia Soldo was appointed also for the first time into the Croatian national soccer team.
1996 changed Soldo to the VfB Stuttgart. With nine years he is the player of the current cadre, which is longest as a professional for the Swabia active. With the VfB Stuttgart it became 1997 DFB Cup winners.
Soldo does not receive for the coming season new contract and to the VfB Stuttgart at the end of the season 2005/06 is thus left.

Soldo is above all well-known to switch in the defensive centre zone the opposing Spielmacher off. So it could take 1998 Zinedine Zidane from the play in the semi-final of the WM, so that the later world champion France at the edge of a defeat stood. Also the Spielmacher of the federal league does against Soldo often heavily. As weakness Soldos is considered its self-assurance lacking in the offensive play, which is attributed to technical weaknesses of the physically large player.
