Abraham Yates
Abraham Yates (August 23, 1724 – June 30, 1796) was an American lawyer and civil servant from Albany, New York. He was a delegate for New York to the Continental Congress in 1787 and 1788.
He was sometimes known as Abraham Yates, Jr., although the elder Abraham was an uncle. His parents were Christoffel and Catelyntje Winne Yates, and his father was a blacksmith in Albany.
