Institution
Stefan is an independent non-profit university (IRS status: 501(c) 3)with an international faculty and graduate students located worldwide. Stefan is an online higher education institution.
History
Stefan University was founded on November 3, 1989 by V. Stefan, a research physicist (V.S.-Physics), an educator(V.S.-Educator), a writer(V.S.-Writing), and a fine art painter (V.S.- Select Paintings).
Recent Developments
Recently, a division on electronic learning in higher education has been established within Stefan with the goal to promote development of electronic information technology in higher education.
Campus
Stefan is essentially a non-campus institution of higher education. Stefan is envisioned as a new type of higher education worldwide - based on electronic technology - details of which will become known as they perpetually unfold.
Note
Presently, Stefan does not offer any diploma program. The programs will start in 2007.
