Harpo Marx

Harpo Marx (-) One of the five brothers Marx, its true name was Arthur Marx, it became thanks to its dumb paper of with its characteristic wig orange and its raincoat with the always full pockets famous.

It received its artistico name, like its brothers, during a game of pocker in which Art Fischer "red-baptize" to Groucho, Boy (originally Chicko), Gummo and the own Harpo. Later they themselves baptized to their Herbert brother like Zeppo (at first Zippo).

In spite of not finalizing the second degree, during its life it was elbowed with but distinguished of the American culture of the time, being many of them the great friends his. This way I comprise of Round Mesa of the Algonquin, where the shining authors reunian themselves but, publishers, criticos, artists, composers, etc.

Of between its friendships it is possible to honor Alexander Woolcott, critic of very famous Broadway at its time, to which him unio a very special relacción throughout the years, to such an extent that to him Alexander to one of his children put.

Despues of being one of unmarried but the famous ones of Hollywood, case finally with Susan Fleming, with which it had four adopted children: Bill, Jimmy, Alex and Minnie.

Fallecio in 1964 after a cardiac operation (habia undergone several infarcts)
