cæcum is the first part of colon, one pertaining todigestive system. It is made of a bag to which the opening is brought together of valvule iléo-cæcale. It is on the level of this valvule that it deverse in the colon. appendix, which can give it, prolongs the cæcum downwards. Its site and its temperature propose it ideal place for the establishment of diseases.
