Botany
botany is science devoted to the study of (Greek ?????? "grass, plant"). It presents several facets which attach it to other sciences of living.
General botany covers taxonomy (classification of the plants), vegetable morphology (describing the parts of the plant), itvegetable histology, vegetable physiology, vegetable biogeography and vegetable pathology. Certain disciplines, like dendrology, are specialized on a subset of the plants.
The fine knowledge of the plants finds applications in the fields of , of selection and of the improvement of the crop plants, in , horticulture, sylviculture.
