joint (lat.: patella) a dik is, triangular to the front of the kniegewricht. It is largest in the human body. The joint lies embedded in the tendon of m.. quadriceps femoris (the large muscle group to the front of the leg), and have to improve the strength transfer of this muscle on the onderbeen as a function. Under the joint the tendon becomes ligamentum patellae called.
