Sitcom

Sitcom is a genre of comedy serials. The name is an astringency of Situation comedy; a comedy which takes place around a certain situation.

Characteristic of sitcom is that it is especially centred around a certain place or surroundings, such as a bar (Cheers), a family or family (Full house, All in the family, Married With Children, Everybody Loves Raymond, Family Ties, Family Matters, Frasier, Roseanne, WHO the boss?, Absolutely Fabulous), a group friends (, Seinfeld, The Young Ones) or a workplace (News radio).
