American it is a city in the State of and microregion of Campinas. Established in 1924 to an altitude of 545 m, American is today the center of a city with 133,9 km² and 177 409 inhabitants (1 324,94 h/km²). The city is located in the following ones co-ordinated: latitude=-22.75 and longitude=-47.33.
